About Jason R. Goode
Once a university volleyball player, college coach and graduate student, Jason shifted gears from academics to direct his first film, DUCKS. Jason continued on to direct THE HITCHHIKER, a multiple award-winning short starring Genie nominee Gina Chiarelli, which screened at festivals all over North America, Europe and Australia. Jason’s recent endeavor, POP SWITCH was one of five projects selected for the Directors Guild of Canada 2008 Kick Start Award. Written by award-winning playwright Lucia Frangione and lensed by Emmy-nominated DOP Jan Kiesser, POP SWITCH had its world premiere in June at the In the Palace International Short Film Festival in Bulgaria, where it was awarded a Special Jury Mention for bringing "Bright Cinematic Sensibility to a Modern Problem." It has since screened in France and the U.S.A.
Jason has a BSc from the University of Calgary and an MCS from Regent College. Most influenced by classic filmmakers like John Ford, Billy Wilder, Preston Sturges and Howard Hawks, Jason has a number of feature films in development with Jenkinson/Goode productions. He lives in White Rock, BC with his wife Christie and two-year-old daughter, Mahri.
